A higher education system office planned to relocate 342 employees from a campus building to downtown leased space. Our analyses determined less square footage was actually needed, allowing two floors to serve another purpose. Stacking adjacencies were provided based on workflow processes as well as options for employee hybrid work opportunities.
Our full suite of services were utilized by an auditing organization, resulting in a 38.4% reduction in office space. Certain job functions were provided hybrid work opportunities with supporting policy and training upgrades. We partnered to select new furnishings, provide move management and construction oversight, and create a change management plan for employees.
For this project, Baskin Strategies conducted a Workforce Flexibility Analysis for an outreach and education organization, drafted policies, and provided employee training. We next created the Workspace Analysis, determining square footage needs, and created test-fits for programming.
We analyzed over 6,000 employee positions that will be relocating to two buildings within a newly designed campus. Our Study resulted in the adoption of hybrid work, a 56% square footage reduction, and detailed workspace recommendations to an architecture firm for advanced planning.
Supporting the statutory relocation of five educational entities into one building, we worked with each unique entity to provide their square footage and detailed workspace needs within the new build to provide a collaborative and efficient workspace. The study analyzed approximately 1,300 employees located in 4 separate buildings.
As this brokerage group prepared for workforce growth and continued success, Baskin Strategies formulated a remote work plan to include specific employee positions, updated policies, employee acknowledgment forms, training, and performance metrics, incorporating best practices and long-term sustainability.
Baskin Strategies has been engaged by a neighboring state to complete analyses throughout multiple agencies involving a significant amount of both leased and owned state buildings within the downtown area. The Studies have provided the necessary information for programming, advanced planning, and design for efficiently housing state agencies in renovated and new buildings.
This project was established by a City Council and aimed at modernizing their downtown workspace. Baskin Strategies had the privilege of sub-contracting to provide our Workforce Flexibility and Workspace Analyses as a part of the firm’s pre-planning services.
As a part of our services to them, we were tasked with determining the necessary usable square footage needed and the ideal size and type of workspace for each employee position.
Baskin Strategies performed analyses of a Utility District's facility improvement strategy, utilizing the work performed to date by its leadership, to determine recommendations for improvement. The recommended square footage needed was 33% of the current facility, thus providing several options for facility support.
Prior to seeking additional leased space, this healthcare organization sought our analyses to provide a third-party workspace needs assessment. Our recommendations resulted in a 54% reduction in workspace needs, employee workspace training and lease cost avoidance for future expansion.
